Lyle B. Abbott (1908 - 1985)

Grande esperto del settore effetti speciali, Abbott ha contribuito al successo di film di buona qualità e di grande successo, non soltanto di fantascienza, ma di western (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance, Ultima notte a Warlok), drammatici (Il volo della Fenice, L'avventura del Poseidon, L'imperatore del Nord, Inferno di cristallo), musicali (Hello Dolly!), guerra (I giovani Leoni, Von Ryan's Express, Tora, Tora, Tora!), storici (Cleopatra) e di commedie (... è stato richiesto anche nell'italiano Il ritorno di Don Camillo).
